Panasonic KX-TD1232 and KX-TD816 Details...

The newest software versions of the workhorse KX-TD816-7 and KX-TD1232-7 control units also include one 4 line caller ID card (KX-TD193) pre-installed from Panasonic at no additional charge.

Panasonic presents the Super Hybrid, a digital hybrid system that provides the quality and flexibility your business requires. These systems are versatile, expandable, and user friendly. And by virtue of the revolutionary XDP (eXtra Device Port) feature, it is the most future-ready and most cost effective system Panasonic has ever developed. The XDP port on the back of each Panasonic digital phone connected to the system allows an additional connection and simultaneous use of single line devices. Devices such as, fax machines, cordless and standard phones, modems and PC connections for desk top faxing.

The KX-TD1232 and KX-TD816 Panasonic Super Hybrid Systems are the only systems that support analog and digital proprietary telephones like the KXT7000, KXT7200, KXT7300, KXT7400 and KXT7700 series system telephones. Single line devices like answering machines, cordless phones, credit card machines, fax machines, and the new line of digital proprietary phones without the need for adapter, cards or modules.

The Super Hybrid Systems easily expand to grow with your business with simple system interconnection capability. With an initial configuration of 8 lines, 16 proprietary digital telephones and 16 analog single line devices, the KX-TD1232 system is expandable to 24 lines, 64 proprietary digital telephones and 64 analog single line devices. The KX-TD816 is initially configured for 4 lines and 8 digital telephones. It is expandable to a maximum of 8 lines and 16 digital telephones. The KX-TD816 is not expandable of the 8x16 configuration.

If voicemail is to be integrated to either system, consideration needs to be given to the maximum expandable configuration. The KX-TVS50, KX-TVS90, KX-TVS125, KX-TVS225 and KX-TVS325 require connection via available extension ports from the "KSU" or control unit. Each available phone system extension port will provide connection of 2 voicemail ports. Click here for a complete list of all Panasonic related equipment.

Door phone Call  (KX-TD308, KX-TD816 and KX-TD1232)
If a visitor presses the door phone button, a pre-assigned extension user can answer the call and talk to the visitor. Any extension user can call a door phone. The door phones are also used for the Room Monitor feature. KX-TD161 required.

Station Message Details Recording (SMDR) (KX-TA624, KX-TD308, KX-TD816 and KX-TD1232)
This function can record or print out call information; for example, date, time, extension number, dialed number, and duration. SMDR information can help you manage long distance costs, staff productivity and phone system usage.

Uniform Call Distribution (UCD) (KX-TD1232)
Panasonic digital phone systems have built-in intelligent Uniform call Distribution capabilities so that calls can be placed into a queue where they are effectively distributed to agents, as they become available. When all stations in the UCD group are busy, the system will play a message to the caller, acting like a receptionist. This is useful for help desks, order desks, or an agent base (insurance and travel agency) where many calls arrive at one time. You can be sure that this will improve the company image and share the operator load as well as important business calls will not be missed.

Direct Inward System Access (DISA)* (KX-TA624, KX-TD308,
KX-TD816 and KX-TD1232)
This feature allows callers to access any extension without having to go through an operator. An incoming caller will receive a greeting message and then they can dial the desired extension. A call can be automatically transferred to an extension operator, modem, or external lines.
*An optional card is required.

Hybrid System (KX-TA624, KX-TD308, KX-TD816 and KX-TD1232)
Your new Panasonic system introduces you to a whole new world of connections by allowing you to integrate a wide range of communications equipment and proprietary handsets. Every Hybrid extension port can accommodate proprietary handsets as well as single line telephone handsets, fax machines, answering machines, and more.

eXtra Device Port (XDP) (KX-T7420, KX-T7431, KX-T7453, KX-T7456)
Every digital telephone comes with a built-in "eXtra Device Port" (XDP) so you can instantly add a unique extension and use other communication devices simultaneously. You can fax a document while talking on the telephone, or have a phone conversation while transferring a data file from your PC. No costly rewiring required! XDP gives your communications the flexibility to help run your business more efficiently.

ISDN Capability* (KX-TD816 and KX-TD1232)
These systems are designed to allow users to take advantage of digital networks services offered by ISDN. ISDN service such as high-speed modems and videoconference units can be connected as extensions in the system. ISDN network capability is shared for voice and data communication eliminating the need for separate lines or other costly interface equipment.
*Optional card is required.

Caller ID Call Routing (KX-TVS50)
The KX-TVS50 automatically sends calls from pre-assigned Caller ID numbers ("wild card" digits can be used) to the desired mailbox, extension, or custom service. There are countless applications.

Live Call Screening (LCS) (KX-TVS50, KX-TVS125, KX-TVS225 and KX-TVS325)
When the LCS mode is activated, you can monitor incoming messages and decide whether or not to take the call. This handy feature is similar to having a telephone answering machine right at your desk.

Two-Way Recording (KX-TVS50, KX-TVS125, KX-TVS225 and KX-TVS325)
This feature allows an extension user to record a conversation in a mailbox by simply pressing the Two-Way Record function key. A variation of this feature is Two-way Transfer, which permits the extension user to record a conversation in another Subscriber’s mailbox; this is ideal for firms that want their receptionists to personally record messages from callers.

Phone System Manager (PSM) gives you control of your Panasonic KX-TD1232 or KX-TD816 telephone System. By investing in this software you can make simple day-today program changes to your system from your desk or a laptop PC. You can also Save time and money with this easy to use programming tool.
